Our approach to instructional design is performance-based.
Our objective is to enhance the on-the-job performance of participants
who undertake the training.
To achieve these aims, we select the most effective and
cost-effective instructional strategies, instructional technologies,
and presentation tactics.
In selecting the most appropriate instructional strategies
and delivery formats for a training solution, we:
- keep the primary focus on the attainment of your performance
objectives, under conditions that are as close to the real world as
possible
- ensure that your performance objectives and trainee
needs drive the selection of instructional strategies which, in turn,
drive selection of appropriate instructional technology and media
Whenever two instructional strategies can meet a project’s
requirements, we will recommend the strategy that is:
- most effective in meeting your performance objectives
- most affordable, given course content, learner requirements, and
organizational constraints.

Whenever two or more technological approaches are possible,
we will recommend the technology that is:
- most usable, according to accepted standards and practices as
set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
and experts on usability issues such as Jakob Nielsen
- most stable across platforms
- easiest for you to deploy, administer, and maintain
(e.g., add, delete, or update content)
- most consistent with your IT standards and constraints, especially
as they pertain to security
- accessible to users with limited bandwidth and/or older operating
systems
- accessible to users with physical or sensory challenges, whenever
possible
