An accomplished trainer and instructional designer, Pam has two decades of experience in training delivery and in the design and development of training programs and instructional materials for leader-led, self-paced and CBT/WBT formats. She owned and operated a computer learning center (Software Training Associates) for eight years throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. She has developed dozens of courses and workshops and taught thousands of people, in a wide variety of technical and business subjects and at all skill levels.
She has developed computer and Web-based training solutions for Fortune 500 clients; participated in the development of enterprise-wide Learning Plans; and conducted a region-wide training needs analysis for the Ministry of Forests. She was instrumental in the design and successful marketing of a powerful training administration software program, and managed the Publications Division of Stellar Systems Group, overseeing the production, distribution, and marketing of a comprehensive line of technical training manuals.
Pam continues to deliver technology training courses for
public and private sector clients in B.C. and elsewhere, and has presented
at numerous conferences, expositions and trade shows including Internet
World, Information Highways, and the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of
the Year conference.

Pam is published in a variety of print and electronic media. She writes about subjects ranging from technology to travel, and specializes in writing for and about the Web. Pam brings to her work over two decades of experience in technical writing, corporate communications and periodical writing. Her print credits include hundreds of columns and articles written during a 7+ year tenure as a weekly Internet columnist for the Victoria Times-Colonist newspaper, plus periodic features and departments for industry trade journals, in-house publications, and tech periodicals. Most prominent among the latter is IDG’s Publish magazine, a trade journal focused on digital content and electronic communications. Feature pieces Pam has written for Publish cover topics ranging from privacy issues to consumer psychology.
Pam has undertaken many kinds of writing in her long career, including product reviews, buyers’ guides, and step-by-step how-to materials for both print and online audiences. She has created instructional materials for Fortune 500 companies and developed content for government and corporate sites, e-zines, Intranets, and e-commerce destinations like FutureShop.com.
Her abundant marketing, public relations, and corporate communications experience encompasses many kinds of writing: reports, briefs, proposals, technical training materials, product specification sheets, quick reference guides, software documentation, press releases, media kits, print and broadcast ad copy, direct mail campaigns, brochures, newsletters, catalogues, directories, Web pages, glossaries, and FAQs.
Pam is especially known for her Internet expertise. She has written
and lectured extensively about Net-related topics; created Internet
courses, seminars, and workshops; appeared on radio and TV; and presented
on this topic at conferences, expositions, and trade shows.
Her Internet research courses have been delivered to thousands of
people throughout the Capital Region and she has developed a variety
of specialty-themed Net search workshops for government, corporate
clients and non-profits.
She has written three books about the Internet and gained recognition for her work in the area
of web usability consulting, training, and testing. She has overseen the design and implementation of several user test
beds for government and has been retained to evaluate and/or revise
site content to conform with current Web usability standards and practices.
